Basketball Recap: Aiden - Joseph Vietvu's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Branham over Santa Teresa

Branham lost against Santa Teresa back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Branham Bruins fell to the Santa Teresa Saints 83-77. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Branham's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden - Joseph Vietvu, who posted 17 points and three steals. Vietvu is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Carlo Marinucci, who went 8 of 18 en route to 21 points.

Even though they lost, Branham smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Branham's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Santa Teresa, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Branham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-41 loss against San Mateo on the 13th. As for Santa Teresa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-64 defeat against Leigh on the 13th.
