Softball Recap: Kennett Comes Up Short

Kennett lost against Bishop Shanahan back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Blue Demons lost 12-1 to the Eagles.

Kennett saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daiylia Winter, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Those stolen bases were Winter's first of the season.

Kennett has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Bishop Shanahan, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kennett is set to take on their familiar foe East at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bishop Shanahan will challenge rival Oxford at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
