Soccer Recap: Garces Memorial Takes a Loss

Garces Memorial lost against Stockdale on January 14th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Garces Memorial Rams came up short against the Stockdale Mustangs, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 745th, while the Mustangs are ranked 124th).

This is the second loss in a row for Garces Memorial and nudges their season record down to 6-10-5. As for Stockdale, they pushed their record up to 13-1-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garces Memorial will face off against Frontier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stockdale, they will square off against Ridgeview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgeview will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Stockdale surely won't give up without a fight.
