Volleyball Recap: Greenville Homeschool Athletics Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Greenville HomeSchool Athletics entered their tilt with Non Varsity Opponent on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past Non Varsity Opponent 3-0. The Archers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 12th (when they won 3-0).

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Greenville HomeSchool Athletics took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-8, 25-9.

Greenville HomeSchool Athletics' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mary Carter led the charge by getting eight aces and four digs. The dominant performance also gave Carter a new career-high in kills (two). Katie McGraw was another key player, getting 14 assists and six aces.

They weren't the only good server: Greenville HomeSchool Athletics was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 36 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matches.

Greenville HomeSchool Athletics' win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Greenville HomeSchool Athletics will welcome Miller Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Archers are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cardinal Mooney Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
