Recap: La Porte Bulldogs vs. Ball Tornadoes
The La Porte Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Ball 66-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
La Porte's loss came despite strong showings from Trent Callies and Phillip Ned. Callies scored 12 points along with seven steals, while Ned scored nine points along with five assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Jayden Martinez, who scored eight points along with three steals.
La Porte has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season. As for Ball, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Angleton the next time they take the court. La Porte will host Angleton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Ball will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
