The Central Knights will venture away from home to challenge the St. Raphael Academy Saints at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Central came up short against West Warwick and fell 6-3. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braulio Franco, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Raphael Academy). They never let Johnston get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. The Saints not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24, 2024.

The win made it two in a row for St. Raphael Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Central, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Central took their win against St. Raphael Academy in their previous meeting last Wednesday by a conclusive 13-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
