Football Game Preview: Ouachita Parish Lions vs. Pineville Rebels + How To Watch

Ouachita Parish is a perfect 9-0 against Pineville since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lions will be playing at home against the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

Ouachita Parish is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: Alexandria, who was ranked fifth at the time (Ouachita Parish was ranked 16th). The Lions took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans on Friday. While the Lions had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Trojans 14-7.

Despite their defeat, Ouachita Parish saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Macario Dade Jr, who rushed for 144 yards and one touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. Montrell Conner helped out on the ground, rushing for 99 yards.

Meanwhile, Pineville took a blow against Ruston on Friday, falling 56-6.

Ouachita Parish's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Pineville, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Ouachita Parish against Pineville in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 49-13 win. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
