Softball Recap: Verona Comes Up Short

Verona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Fordland Eagles, falling 19-0. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Verona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Fordland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Verona Wildcats take on Exeter Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fordland, they will face off against Bakersfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
