Soccer Recap: East Moline Christian Comes Up Short

East Moline Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Unity Christian Knights who were credited with the win. The Unity Christian Knights got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the East Moline Christian Eagles' zero. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Unity Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

East Moline Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Unity Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Moline Christian will welcome Galesburg Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Unity Christian, they will be playing at home against Quad Cities Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Unity Christian will be up against Quad Cities Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.33 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
