Soccer Game Preview: Inter-Lakes vs. Derryfield

The Inter-Lakes Lakers will venture away from home to challenge the Derryfield Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Inter-Lakes is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Inter-Lakes fell victim to Moultonborough Academy and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, Inter-Lakes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Moultonborough Academy are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Derryfield came up short against St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday, falling 4-1.

Derryfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Inter-Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Inter-Lakes might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Derryfield in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Lakers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
