Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Ready Silver Knights vs. Buckeye Valley Barons

The Bishop Ready Silver Knights will head out on the road to take on the Buckeye Valley Barons at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Bishop Ready is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 74-49 margin over Worthington Christian on Tuesday. Given the Silver Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Warriors are ranked 544th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Buckeye Valley came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Warriors 63-34. The Barons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 24 points or more this season.

Buckeye Valley pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.7 points. As for Bishop Ready, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

Everything went Bishop Ready's way against Buckeye Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Bishop Ready made off with a 60-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop Ready since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
