Football Recap: Lindblom Eagles vs. Solorio Sun Warriors
After flying high against Back of the Yards College Prep last Saturday, Lindblom came back down to earth. The Lindblom Eagles took a 14-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Solorio Sun Warriors. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sun Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
It was another big night for Oqiria Butler, who rushed for 193 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 195 yards while completing 78.6% of her passes for Solorio. The dominant performance gave Butler a new career-high in rushing yards. 114 of those passing yards were hauled in by Giselle Vazquez.
Lindblom's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Solorio, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
