Basketball Recap: Eric Novosel's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kane over Sheffield

Kane was the 59-29 winner over Sheffield when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Kane Wolves took a 35-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sheffield Wolverines.

Kane lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eric Novosel, who posted six points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Nathan Mccormack, who earned four points and three steals.

Kane's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Sheffield, they moved to 1-6 with that win, which also ended their nine-game losing streak.

Kane will head out to square off against DuBois Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kane is facing DuBois Central Catholic at the right time seeing as DuBois Central Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sheffield, they will welcome Cranberry Area at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
