It was a good run, but Mariemont unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS by a score of 42-40. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS earlier this season, when they won 46-40.

Eli Beck was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 15 on his way to 20 points for Madeira. Ben Reed was another key player, putting up ten points.

Mariemont's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Madeira, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Mariemont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 78-56 defeat against Miami Valley Christian Academy on the 1st. As for Madeira, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-35 victory against East Clinton on the 1st.
