Softball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Robbinsville

It's playoff time, and Robbinsville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Mitchell Mountaineers 15-0 on Tuesday. Considering the Black Knights have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lexie Williams was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Anna Williams was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Robbinsville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .731. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Robbinsville's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mitchell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Robbinsville will challenge South Stokes on Friday. Mitchell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
