Summit Christian Academy has gone a perfect 10-0 against Van Horn recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. Summit Christian Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 15 games.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Summit Christian Academy nor Marshall made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Eagles came out on top against the Owls by a score of 6-3.

Meanwhile, Van Horn made easy work of Guadalupe Centers on Thursday and carried off a 23-3 victory. That 20 run margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.

Antonio Bonomo and Brody Gray did most of the damage at the plate: Bonomo got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Gray went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Bonomo has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Gavin Stover, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Van Horn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .794. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Summit Christian Academy pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Van Horn, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Summit Christian Academy beat Van Horn 8-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
