Football Recap: Bexley Takes a Loss

Bexley lost against Whitehall-Yearling back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions fell 20-10 to the Rams. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Bexley still got an impressive performance from Ellis Clary, who rushed for 106 yards and one TD.

Leading Whitehall-Yearling to victory were Jayson Stafford and Malachi Jackson. Stafford rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown, while Jackson rushed for 38 yards and one score. Another big playmaker for the Rams was Nate Jenkins Jr., who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Bexley now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Whitehall-Yearling, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bexley will challenge rival Bishop Ready at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Whitehall-Yearling is set to face off against their familiar foe Franklin Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant s against one another: Lawrence Kanneh and Anthony Jalloh.
