West Florida Baptist Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 61-14 victory over Santa Rosa Christian. The win was familiar territory for the Conquerors, who have now won 14 matchups in a row dating back to last season.

West Florida Baptist Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colin Harrison, who shot 75% from the field en route to 12 points and six boards. That's the most points Harrison has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Hazewinkel, who had 12 points and four steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Santa Rosa Christian fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, West Florida Baptist Academy is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Pensacola Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santa Rosa Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gulf Pointe Latin at 6:30 p.m. on December 4.
