Caprock and Amarillo are an even 4-4-2 against one another since March of 2021, but likely not for long. The Longhorns will head out to challenge the Sandies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Caprock will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Monterey, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Longhorns won by a goal and slipped past the Plainsmen 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Caprock were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Amarillo has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 2nd. They and Plainview finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Friday.

Caprock's victory bumped their record up to 12-0-4. Amarillo's draw makes their record 6-7-3 this season.

Everything went Caprock's way against Amarillo when the teams last played back in January, as Caprock made off with a 4-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
