Garden City came into Friday's game looking for another win against Romulus, but Torrence Searcy wouldn't allow it. The Eagles blew past the Cougars 34-11 on Friday thanks in part to Searcy, who rushed for 127 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

The victory got Romulus back to even at 3-3. As for Garden City, they dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Romulus will take on Thurston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Thurston will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Romulus surely won't give up without a fight. As for Garden City, they will challenge Robichaud at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 9.8 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
