Baseball Recap: Taft's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

After a string of four wins, Taft's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Oso Bears. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 10-5.

Andrew Martinez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Taft's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 7-8-1 when he doesn't).

Taft's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-9-1. As for West Oso, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
