Soccer Recap: Southwestern Takes a Loss

Southwestern lost against Auburn back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Piasa Birds fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-2. Southwestern's defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Southwestern's loss dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for Auburn, the win got them back to even at 9-9-1.

Coming up, Southwestern will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Metro-East Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. Southwestern are facing Metro-East Lutheran at the right time seeing as Metro-East Lutheran are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Auburn, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lutheran at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Auburn will be up against Lutheran's rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
