Bolton had won two straight home games and E'Darian Washington did his part to make it three on Monday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 79-37 stomp they got against the Mitchell Tigers thanks in part to Washington, who went 15 of 19 on his way to 38 points. His afternoon made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Kylan Collins, who posted four points in addition to seven assists and five steals. Collins is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
Bolton's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Mitchell, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Bolton will host St. Benedict at Auburndale at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. Bolton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matchups -- so hopefully St. Benedict at Auburndale likes a good challenge. As for Mitchell, they will venture away from home to take on Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on January 8th.
