 The Marathon Dolphins will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against the Riviera Prep Bulldogs at 7:00  p.m. Marathon is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.7  runs per game  this season.
 Marathon's pitching crew heads into the  match  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Saturday. They came out on top against Ransom Everglades by a score of  4-0.
 The result came thanks to  Dylan Ziels's shutout, as he gave up just three  hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Dylan Williams was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Riviera Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight  defeat. They fell just short of Florida Christian by a score of  5-3.
  Noel Leon put in work while hitting and pitching. He  struck out eight batters over  5.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   three  hits. Leon was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 Leon wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Steven Nunez, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Marathon has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record  this season. As for Riviera Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Marathon has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 8  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Riviera Prep struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 8.2. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Marathon was able to grind out a solid  win over Riviera Prep in their previous meeting  last Thursday, winning  4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marathon since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
