Things were looking good for Hamilton after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Rushville-Industry by a score of 9-8. Hamilton has not had much luck with Rushville-Industry recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Kyle Smith was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits.

On the hitting side, Mason Stevenson and Hoyt Tripp stepped up to the plate in a big way. Stevenson scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Tripp scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Gage Scott, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Quincy Notre Dame came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.7 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They won by a run and slipped past the Suns 10-9.

Elliott Hendrian looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Quincy Notre Dame got a big performance out of Nolan Robb, who went 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. Evan Kenning was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
