Baseball Recap: Flagler Palm Coast Comes Up Short

Flagler Palm Coast suffered their closest loss since February 26th on Friday. They fell just short of the Horizon Hawks by a score of 9-7.

Marion Clayton was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Flagler Palm Coast's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 2-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Brenin Striplin, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Flagler Palm Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Horizon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.
