Basketball Game Preview: Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles vs. Hinsdale Pacers

Portsmouth Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Hinsdale recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Hinsdale Pacers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Portsmouth Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with Mascenic Regional as they won 53-38. The Eagles have beaten the Vikings the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Vikings has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hinsdale). They put the hurt on Nute with a sharp 43-20 win on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Hinsdale and bumps their season record up to 7-8. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points over those games. As for Portsmouth Christian Academy, their record is now 10-6.

Portsmouth Christian Academy suffered a grim 64-38 defeat to Hinsdale in their previous matchup back in February of 2020. Can Portsmouth Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
