Baseball Recap: Highland Prep Takes a Loss

Highland Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-0 to the Odyssey Institute Minotaur. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Minotaur this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

Highland Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Belanger-Frank, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Highland Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Odyssey Institute, the win got them back to even at 6-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland Prep will host River Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Honey Badgers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dust Devils have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Odyssey Institute, they will be playing in front of their home fans against ALA - West Foothills at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Minotaur's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Guardians have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
