Valmeyer is 8-2 against Dupo since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will square off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Valmeyer and 11 for Dupo.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Valmeyer and Gibault Catholic, and Gibault Catholic kept the tradition alive. The Pirates took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks on Monday.

Landon Roy was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Dupo came up short against New Athens on Thursday and fell 4-1.

Dupo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thinh Staggs, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Valmeyer's record is now 6-15. As for Dupo, their record now sits at 2-12.

Valmeyer was able to grind out a solid win over Dupo in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
