Volleyball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the O'Fallon Panthers. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-17.

Kallie Hubbard paced Highland's offense, picking up eight kills. Hubbard got some help from Lucy Becker and her five assists. Finally, Kendyll Decker kept Highland's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for O'Fallon, they pushed their record up to 20-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Waterloo on the 21st. As for O'Fallon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Columbia on the 18th.
