Softball Recap: Ontario Takes a Loss

Ontario has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.67 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They came up short against the Colton Yellowjackets, falling 10-3. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Alyssa Perez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

This is the second loss in a row for Ontario and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Colton, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Ontario didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-2 loss against Chino on the 12th. As for Colton, they have also already played their next contest, a 21-0 victory against Vista del Lago on the 4th.
