Basketball Recap: Music Mountain Triumphs

After losing to BASIS Flagstaff the last time they met, Music Mountain decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Music Mountain Warriors escaped with a win on Friday against the BASIS Flagstaff Yetis by the margin of a single free throw, 1-0. The one-point effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

With the victory, Music Mountain broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5. As for BASIS Flagstaff, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Music Mountain will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ash Fork at 5:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. BASIS Flagstaff will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Dishchii'bikoh at 5:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
