Volleyball Recap: Kenyon-Wanamingo Extends Winning Streak to Four

Kenyon-Wanamingo had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial. That's more bragging rights for Kenyon-Wanamingo, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kenyon-Wanamingo easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kenyon-Wanamingo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddyn Alexander, who had six aces and three digs. Those six aces gave Alexander a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emilie Jarvis, who had 13 digs and three assists.

Kenyon-Wanamingo's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.

Kenyon-Wanamingo has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Glencoe-Silver Lake on the 13th. As for Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial, they will square off against St. Clair at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
