Softball Recap: Peoria Notre Dame Takes a Loss

Peoria Notre Dame lost against Bloomington Central Catholic back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Irish took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints. The Irish have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peoria Notre Dame saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Leustek, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Peoria Notre Dame now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-7.

Coming up, Peoria Notre Dame will host Peoria at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Irish are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, they will face off against Monticello at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sages have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
