Soccer Recap: Payne Tech Takes a Loss

Payne Tech entered their match against Newark Collegiate Academy on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lions fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. Payne Tech were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Newark Collegiate Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Payne Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Newark Collegiate Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Payne Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Science Park at 4:15 p.m. on the 14th. As for Newark Collegiate Academy, they will take on Ferris at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
