Baseball Recap: Harmon Takes a Loss

Harmon had lost seven straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it eight. They lost 15-5 to the Highland Park Scots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-9 last Saturday.

Harmon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesus Portillo Carrillo, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

As for Highland Park, their record now sits at 4-8. The result was nothing new for the Scots, who have now won four games by seven runs or more so far this season.

On Highland Park's side, the team relied heavily on Ernesto Machado, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with six stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The Scots are 3-1 when Machado posts two or more runs, but 1-7 otherwise. Saul Ramos Hernandez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Looking ahead, Harmon will venture away from home to face off against Northeast at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Highland Park, they will welcome Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
