Softball Recap: Mather Comes Up Short

Mather couldn't beat Rickover Naval on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Rangers fell just short of the Seadragons by a score of 8-7. The Rangers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Seadragons earlier this season, when they won 10-7.

Mather saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kristin Kaporis, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Mather moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Rickover Naval, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Mather wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-4 win against Prosser on the 18th. As for Rickover Naval, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-9 defeat against Senn on the 17th.
