Basketball Recap: Prospect Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Prospect and Fremd squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Prospect had to settle for second. They took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fremd Vikings. The Knights have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Prospect's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allison Linke, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine boards. Linke's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Falls, who posted 12 points.

Prospect's defeat dropped their record down to 27-8. As for Fremd, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Prospect nor Fremd have any future games scheduled.
