Football Recap: Flowing Wells Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Flowing Wells was feeling good fresh off their 42-0 takedown of Nogales last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Caballeros had to suffer through a 47-14 loss at the hands of the Mountain View Mountain Lions. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Caballeros, who until this game were averaging 13.14 points allowed.

Despite the loss, Flowing Wells still got an impressive performance from Jayden Simmons, who rushed for 195 yards and one TD while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Simmons' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.

Leading Mountain View to victory were Drake Davis and Ion Brin. Davis rushed for 87 yards and one score, while Brin threw for 56 yards and three touchdowns. Davis showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 67 yards. Liam Lewis also helped with two TDs in total.

Having lost for the first time this season, Flowing Wells fell to 6-1. As for Mountain View, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Flowing Wells wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 28-20 defeat against Cienega on the 17th. As for Mountain View, they have also already played their next contest, a 35-13 win against Nogales on the 17th.
