Basketball Recap: Hatton Takes a Loss

Hatton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Deshler Tigers, falling 77-33. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Tigers are ranked 18th).

Reece Davis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Deshler, going 13 for 24 on her way to 37 points.

Hatton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Deshler, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Hatton will head out to take on Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deshler, they will be playing at home against Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Deshler is on a six-game streak of home wins, Wilson a 11-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
