Baseball Recap: Goddard Comes Up Short

Goddard and Bishop Carroll squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Goddard had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 back in April.

Goddard's defeat was their 11th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Bishop Carroll, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Goddard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Carroll, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Eisenhower on the 21st.
