Saint Francis got themselves on the board against St. Ignatius College Preparatory on Friday, but St. Ignatius College Preparatory never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Wildcats on Tuesday, they had to take a 10-6 loss.

Saint Francis got a great performance from Kyle McMillan as he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. McMillan has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Landon King was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Bonini, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Saint Francis' record now sits at 16-3. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Saint Francis will face off against rival Valley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Ignatius College Preparatory is set to take on their familiar foe Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
