Football Game Preview: Munford vs. Kirby

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Kirby. Their bye week comes to an end as they meet up with Munford at 7:00 PM on Friday. Munford will need to watch out since Kirby have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.

Kirby might be getting used to good results now that the squad has four wins in a row. They took their game against Southwind two weeks ago by a conclusive 39-14 score. Not happy with the near-even 17-14 score at halftime, Kirby made a real splash in the second half.

Meanwhile, after a disappointing nine points in their last match, Munford made sure to put some points up on the board against Kingsbury. Everything went Munford's way against Kingsbury as they made off with a 40-14 win. Followers of Munford probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.

The last time the two teams met, Kirby lost to Munford by a decisive 34-53 margin. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
