The Palmer Dragons pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rosa Fort. Palmer has struggled against Rosa Fort recently, as their match on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Palmer had strong showings from Corderio Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Ja'lean Tweedy, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season.
Palmer dropped their record down to 8-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Rosa Fort, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
Palmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rosa Fort, they will take on Independence at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Mississippi (Independence is ranked 175th, while Rosa Fort is ranked 163rd).
