Basketball Game Preview: Valparaiso Vikings vs. Michigan City Wolves

The Valparaiso Vikings will head out to take on the Michigan City Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valparaiso is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Valparaiso is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Penn on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Valparaiso was dealt a 65-36 loss at the hands of Penn. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-12.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, Michigan City didn't have enough. They came up short against Crown Point on Friday, falling 77-51. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Michigan City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Valparaiso, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Valparaiso was able to grind out a solid victory over Michigan City when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 67-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valparaiso since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
