Softball Recap: San Marcos Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

San Marcos lost against Austin back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The San Marcos Rattlers took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Austin Maroons.

San Marcos' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-9-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Austin, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.

Looking ahead, San Marcos will square off against Judson at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Marcos is facing Judson at the right time seeing as Judson is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Austin, they will take on St. Pius X in a tournament on Saturday.
