Softball Recap: Iroquois West Comes Up Short

Iroquois West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakwood Comets. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Iroquois West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Neveah Medina, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That run marked the first that Medina scored this season.

Iroquois West's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Oakwood, their record now sits at 4-6-1.

Coming up, Iroquois West will challenge Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Oakwood, they will face off against Paxton-Buckley-Loda at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
