Basketball Game Preview: Gibson Southern Titans vs. Castle Knights

The Gibson Southern Titans are taking a road trip to take on the Castle Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Saturday, Gibson Southern came up short against Bloomington South and fell 65-57.

Despite the defeat, Gibson Southern got top-tier performance from Paige Schnaus, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Taylor Weyer was another key player, putting up 14 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Castle strolled past Jeffersonville with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 66-51. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Castle's win came from a few key players Gibson Southern will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jayden Scott, who shot 69% from the field to rack up 24 points. The matchup was her third in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Azaria Finn, who went 6-for-9 en route to 19 points.

Gibson Southern's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Castle, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Gibson Southern skirted past Castle 39-37 when the teams last played back in February. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
