Mountain View Prep scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Dreher Blue Devils, falling 47-24. The defeat leaves the Stars without a win on the season.

Despite the loss, Mountain View Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avery Caldwell posted 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Caldwell has scored all season.

Mountain View Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Dreher, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Mountain View Prep will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Huss at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Dreher has already played their next contest, an 84-16 defeat against Ridge View on the 9th.
