Basketball Game Preview: Ganado Hornets vs. Page Sand Devils

Ganado hasn't had much luck against Page recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Sand Devils at 5:00 p.m.

Ganado's last matchup with Window Rock could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Hornets came up short against the Fighting Scouts, falling 60-34. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Fighting Scouts are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Page had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 52-42 win over the Mustangs.

The victory got Page back to even at 10-10. As for Ganado, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Ganado strolled past Page when the teams last played back in December of 2025 by a score of 61-44. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Sand Devils' Tayla Franklin, who went 8-for-20 en route to 22 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.
